The news of the secretive and more exclusive spinoff of the wildly popular Tinder Select is now here.

Even though the existence of Private Tinder is no longer under wraps, there still isn’t a lot that is known about the app.

What we do know is that you must receive an invitation to use the app. A person that is invited can also invite someone else to use the app as well. However, the person that is invited by another invitee can not invite a person themselves, keeping the member size of the app to a minimum.

What is different on Tinder Select

The app has a different visual appearance featuring blue accenting features rather than that of Tinder’s orange. What we don’t know is Tinder’s criteria for a person to receive an invite to join. What seems to be a constant among those who receive an invitation is that they are a high profile individual and fairly attractive.

Some people have taken offense to Tinder’s new app, however, exclusive dating apps aren’t anything new. Exclusive versions arise of many open entry items and dating apps, of course, are no exception. Here are some other exclusive dating apps:

6The League

The League focuses on being an app for the ambitious business professional. The application process for this app is more straight forward than others where you simply go on the website to apply.

Getting accepted into this app isn’t a certainty by any means; having now a waiting list of more than 100,000. If accepted, there are requirements in order to stay in the app which include consistent activity. If you are inactive for more than two weeks you are kicked out.

5Luxy

Dubbed as the leading millionaire matchmaker app, Luxy is targeted at the high-income individual. The requirement to join the app is that you must earn more than $200k. There is another way to gain access to the app for those who don’t earn as much by being voted in by other members based on attractiveness. The platform of the app works very similar to Tinder with a swipe to like or dislike functionality.

4Raya

Self-described as the exclusive platform for people in creative industries, Raya was one of the first exclusive dating apps on the scene.

The app which connects to Instagram uses the social media app as a determining factor of your acceptance into the app. The one caveat to this app is that there is a membership fee.

3The Inner Circle

Just like Tinder Select, The Inner Circle is another among the first in the exclusive dating app scene. The European-based dating app, like the others in the space, screens each applicant to meet certain criteria to join.

What differentiates this app, however, is that it focus more towards offline connecting. Throwing frequent events for members using the gatherings to offer more ways for connections.

2Sparkology

This exclusive dating app has one main criterion. All members must have a college education. For men, it gets more specific requiring that all male members have a degree from a top-tier school. The app also has a concierge service that helps members create a more attractive profile.
