The New York Auto Show is getting ready to kick off with several cars being prepared to steal the show like a thief in the night. Folks in attendance will get the chance to see luxury sedans in action alongside supercars with profound baritone pipes. Yes, it’s going to be a blast.
The show will have both old and new cars to entice viewers, but today, we’re going to focus exclusively on the new rides to give you an idea of what to expect from some of them.
The folks at I4U released the full list of new vehicles, and they are impressive.
BMW bringing its EVs to gain some much-needed attention
With Tesla taking the electric vehicle market by storm, it makes perfect sense for BMW to get in on the action before it gets lost in the battle. The company has decided to go green for 2017, and as such, it didn’t take long for BMW to reveal its hand.
When the show kicks off, fans should keep an eye out for the 330e, 530e, 740 xDrive and X5 xDRive 40e. These are all performance models, and guess what? Each will have electrified motors with 2.0 turbo four cylinder engines. Impressed as of yet? You should be.
Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 2018
Just look at the name of this Dodge Challenger. A car with the name “Demon” in the title only speaks of one thing, speed. Now, we have no idea of the horsepower here, but it’s expected to surpass the Hellcat’s 757bhp, but only time will tell if such is the case.
The Impressive Buick Enclave 2018
People attending the New York International Auto Show should keep an eye out for the Buick Enclave 2018. For those who are unaware, the first Buick Enclave was released 10-years ago, so exciting times for owners of the old model who have been staying strong for a possible upgrade.
Regarding the power under the hood, the Buick Enclave 2018 comes with 25bhp and 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Interestingly enough, models with a 3.6-liter V6 engine will eventually pop-up in the future.
The Honda Civic Type R
Driving a brand new Honda is like driving to a place where the breeze is fresh, and the weather is perfect. Chances are, this will not change with the Honda Civic Type R. It’s not a powerful piece of machinery, but rather something designed for those on a budget. The 2.0-liter engine with its four cylinders should output a decent 316bhp.
Drivers who prefer manual to automatic should feel right at home here. Moreover, as for the starting price, it’s $30,000.
